My plan was to photograph the rising sunlight on the Secret Mountains outside of Sedona; but I couldn't find a comp I liked. Then I turned around and caught the sun rising behind me. C&C appreciated.

This is striking! I like the unusual processing - and the beautiful patterns in the sky add a very dynamic element. Well done!

Different. The B/W is striking, but I would love to see the color version. There is nothing here but your description and the lightened sky behind the darkened cliffs to indicate a sunrise.

I like the contrast in the sky and clouds, though some of the lower clouds seem a little bright. This works well as b&w. Nicely done.

This works well, Barry. Good job letting the light dictate what you shoot. I always like the ideas it comes up with.
