These small pine cones covered the trees at For-Mar Nature Preserve just ouside of Flint Michigan.
Canon 7D, Canon 100mm Macro, 1/125 sec, F/2.8, ISO 100, RAW conversion.
Thanks for looking and C&C welcomed.

John:
I like the texture and color of the cone. I see you are able to selectively focus where you want and assume that you have used live view manual focus. Do you have any problem with the focus on the 7D that others have been reporting?

Hi Gary, Yes I used live view to focus this photo. Live view wasn't a big deal for me when I was looking to upgrade to this camera, however now that I've used it a little I think live view will help a great deal with macro. As far as the issues with focusing on the 7D, so far so good. The reviews were a big concern of mine before I puchased it and I read a ton about it before I made my decision. I'm leaving on vacation as soon as I finish typing this so I hope to use this camera alot more in the next few days.
Thanks for your comments.

Hey John, I like the shallow depth of field. Nice position in the frame. :toast:
