Indian Saras Crane giving unison call.
Everesince, I started nature photography, I used to admire B&W photo of a famous Indian photographer Mr. M. Y. Ghorpade on the same subject. It still is one of the finest photo ever captured of Indian Saras Crane. About five years ago, came across this nest in the beautiful environment and happened to spend four days from sunrise to sunset, in front of it, resulting in many wonderful photos.
When Indian Saras Crane calls, the atmosphere is electrifying and can be heard for miles across.
This remains one of my favourite bird photo and was used in the prestigeous ad campaign of Canon "Wildlife as Canon sees it" in the National Geographic.
Thankyou so much for your kind attention & views !
Canon film canera & 500mm lens.

Gorgeous birds and impressive poses. Very nice to see something that exotic still in their natural environment and performing some captivating behavior. Congrats on the pick in National Geographic! :toast: :toast:
