Minolta M7
Minolta 20mm
Velvia 50, Probably f16 or f22
Washington County, Texas 2005
Up until this year 2005 was about the best wildflower season I had experienced. Shot this right at sunset with the last light just barely grazing the top of the flowers. Can't recall the shutter speed but I do remember noting that the wind practically died completely just a few minutes before I got this image. Interestingly enough this is one field that has been sparser than usual this year while almost everything else has been spectacular. All comments welcome. >=))>

The wildflowers are incredible in "these parts" this year. Difficult to portray just how many there are, but well done here. Nice image.

Bill, I thoroughly enjoy all your flora images and especially love this carpet of Texas wildflowers. Wonderful foreground and depth of field that carries my eyes from the very front of the image all the way to the back. I also greatly appreciate all the critiques you give to other images that helps us all to learn from your expertise. :toast:

What a perfect image for the 10-year gallery, Bill. I associate you with Texas wildflowers more than anyone, and this captures them perfectly.
