Hi everyone,

This is my first photo on this site. It was taken early March this year at Buttermere in the Lake District.

D700, Nikon 135mm f/2.8 series e lens @ f/11, 1/40 sec, iso 200. Tripod.

Thanks, Gary.

Gary, first, welcome to NPN, a wonderful site. Second, this is a wonderful capture, the DOF and reflection are well done. Good job, and hope to see more. :toast:

The house or barn gives the photo a nice scale to the surrounding environment. Welcome and wonderful shot.

Wow! Great light, great comp. The soft light and muted colors of the scene are very nice.

A view, indeed, but only one tiny window through which to view it. Oh, the possibilities... It therefore strikes a bit of a melancholy note in me, but not by any means a sour note. Sometimes melancholy is good for reflection, and you have some gorgeous ones in the image. Congratulations on a fine image and the EP award.
