This is fantastic Matt - such a sense of movement and drama - absolutely perfect shutter speed. Great stuff!

You really have a way with creating dramatic photos. Great movement in the waves and the conversion works really well.

This is striking Matt, well done. I love the drama here. I'd like to see a little more room for at the top of the rock, but realize that might have diminished the power of the wave action.

Love the drama and implied chaotic movement of the waves Matt. Would be nice to have a tad more separation between the rock pillar and sea.

I like the dynamic feel of this image. The processing has a very dramatic effect and I absolutely love the wave action that you've captured here.

I like the swirling motion of the water Matt. Very painterly effect. I light the contrast as well.

John, I framed this one pretty tight. Although, with the new content aware fill feature in CS5 I have been testing, the days of short on canvas maybe be, um, short. (if one was to take such liberties)
Anthony, check your email, I sent you a lil' gift.

Wow, what dramatic mood here Matt. It reminds me of your churning cloud image, except this is the ocean.... I wonder, do you have enough material to turn that into a sea/sky storm series? Something to consider maybe, I think it would be really neat.
By the way, just realized that it's almost as if there's a horizon, and the perspective of the rocks all makes sense with the faux horizon... the waves are different in the URC. This is seriously cool, dude!

The waves are great-very strong composition...I just would like the rock to pop more against the background.

Karsten, I had a BW-ND filter mounted on the lens at ISO 320 f/11 so I could get the shutter speed to 1.0 Seconds. Thanks for the good words.

Matt,
This is a stunning and mesmerizing seascape. Easy to interpret this as painterly, but it goes beyond that for me. It's a mind bender in the sense that I can't figure the scale or perspective. In other words, the large rock appears like a pretty decent sized sea rock/stack and I expect there to be sky behind it - Yet, the UR quadrant looks like more waves, or are they clouds.... ? This one really keeps me looking, and thinking. Fantastic.

Ahah! So are those "waves of regret and waves of joy"?
Fantastic, your U2 renditions Matt, this image looks to me biting and poetic at the same time, just like many U2 songs.

Fabulous work, Matt. It looks like a composite of several different images. I love the way you've created the swirl in the water. Very stomy and dramatic.
