Quite a regal pose, especially impressive on the larger view Jack. Nicely balanced composition. The lighting is a bit harsh but you made an excellent exposure.

Great detail Jack. The diagonal hillslope and pose of the deer help to make this more interesting. Regal is certainly an appropriate word to describe its posture! Maybe a tad less DOF by opening up your lens (if at all possible) would have thrown that BG just a bit more OOF without compromising sharpness on this parallel subject.

Good deer in a good pose. I think the thing that was missing was more pleasing light conditions. (Still, I never tire of viewing whitetails!)
