My first NPN Post

Gallery: 10 Years of NPNPosted April 11, 2010423 views9 comments
I believe I've been with NPN for all of its 10 years. I'm happy to see how large it's grown and I'm still waiting for Jim to announce that he can finally quit his day job.

If this wasn't my first post, it's certainly one of the first few I posted.

This was shot on Velvia with my Nikon and 105mm Micro Nikkor.

Your talent was showing even back then. Ah, yes, the good old Velvia days. Sometimes I really miss them.

Dan,

Very well done flower It kust glows and I like the way you captured it only partially opened. It's stood the test of time well and can stand proudly next to the recent digital posts.

I love the lighting here, and especially the bluish shadows. It's cool how the center of the flower is brighter than the rest.

Beautiful image Dan, and the dark BG really shows off the flower well.

Dan,

Ahhh, the days of 35mm and Velvia. Seems like just yesterday. This is lovely Dan. The color picked up on the outer leaves works well echoing the surrounding greens. Certainly a fitting image for this 10 year anniversary gallery.

Beautiful. Reminiscent of Georgia O'Keeffe.

Beautiful light and presentation Dan. The magic of film. I wouldn't give up my sensor but seeing something like this ...
