Fall foliage at Sweetwater Lake, Talladega National Forest in NE Alabama. Shot in the fall of 2006, I reprocessed it for the 10 year gallery. This image has a slight Orton effect added, one of the many things I've learned from NPN and, in this case, Darwin Wiggett's excellent NPN article. Larger version also included.

Bill: This is really beautiful. Love the feeling this evokes. The processing is great. Love the small Orton effect. I'm guessing this is a real stunner printed big and hanging on your wall..

Oh yes, I remember this one as well. Fantastic image Bill, the Orton treatment adds that touch of dreamy feel that I find delightful.

Bill, hard to beat this wonderful array of fall colors. I've never experimented with the Orton effect, but IMO this seems to be the perfect amount applied here. The mirror type reflection in this glassy water really adds to this entire scene.

Stunning light and color. And the comp is superb. The Orton gives it just the right amount of glow to soften the light and make this magic.
