The (other) Pond
by Bill Maile
Not that anyone would be confused by our work, but didn't intend any offense (nor comparison!) to Steichen. (I apologize, had originally credited Stieglitz for that, then remembered he didn't shoot it, but had it in Camera Work.) Was on my way home from an exhibit opening and saw this little pond we used to skate on as children. The sun had set about a good 1/2 hour before, but I tried this anyway. ISO-200, 1/6th at f-3.2 and cropped down from the top. Larger posted too, thanks for any comments/help.

6 commentsThe dark nature is a bit unsettling, I like that.
The larger version does help the presentation.
