I was hoping to capture a "classic' image of this area in western Nevada for a friend. This area is a mix of snow covered mountains and sage covered valleys. The area has been explored and mined for many generation and the hand of man lasts for centuries.

Just gorgeous - I like the positioning of the road in the frame, though I wish it weren't cut off in the LLC

Very nice Russ...I do agree with Luke's comment though, that it would be a little better with the road fully shown. I really like the light on the mountains, and the line of heavier scrub leading in from the lower right corner.

Russell, Beautiful shot of these Nevada mountains. I agree it might have been neat if more of the road was showing, but great shot anyway.

Awesome shot Russ. I like the comp and the road position is fine just were it is for me. There does seem to be a slight orange feel overall...was that the original colour or just brought on with some saturation or contrast adjustment? The attitude with the clouds is very nice also. Either way this image looks great!!

I love it! Where was this taken Russ? If it were mine, i'd probably crop a bit off the right hand side of the image. The sky looks great, processing really nice, and lovely composition. Michael
