Doug, really nice detail in the coyote, plus a nice pose !
You've lost a lot of detail in the snow, but the small mounds and footprints by the feet are fine.

Nice , very sharp shot, Doug! I like the espression of the coyote. If it were mine, I'd have cropped a bit the right side.

HI Doug,

Very nice! The light is beautiful and your exposure and/or post-processing looks spot-on here. Great detail in the coyote. The simplicity of the image also appeals to me. Compositionally all the lines work well with the positioning and direction the coyote is looking. I'm wondering if the coyote is just very slightly too far to the left, but I could be wrong - it's certainly very visually appealing to me as is. Overall - very well done!

Cheers...thanks for sharing this "top-shelf" image!

The coyote looks good and my eye does not mind that most of the snow goes featureless. Face and snow-on-the-nose detail is excellent. What I am left pondering is the positioning in the frame. Although you followed the standard of giving him some space to look into, it feels to me like he is placed to far to the left. I am sure this is purely subjective and others may see it differently.

I love the way the coyote stands out against the white snow, Doug! The fur details and the head angle are perfect. :toast:

Excellent capture. Like others, I feel some adjustment of the framing may make this even more engaging. :toast:

With the benefit of reading all the other comments I can speak. Great expression on the coyote, love the exposure and the footprints are great. I would crop a little off the right side, probably to just eliminate the dark spot in the background above that second layer of snow. He sure has a nice bushy tail!

Doug,

Bravo! This is a wonderful Coyote image. Great lighting and the pose is fantastic. I would like to see a bit more room at the bottom, especially since he seems to be looking downhill at something but that's just a matter of personal taste. Great job.
