Spoonbills in flight

This picture of a pair of Spoonbills in flight was taken at 8 am in the morning at Rangana Thittu Bird Sanctuary, about 130 KMs from Bangalore. I saw the pair taking off and tracked them for a few seconds before I could click just one frame. Rangana Thittu offers nice lights and shades in the morning.

I like the spoonies in flight Murali. The lighting on the birds is great. However, my eye keeps looking for a bit more definition in the FG and BG. IMO, they are just a bit too dark.

Nice shot! Personally I would like a little more contrast and a slightly tilted crop to straighten out he background.

I love this Murali, love the sun coming through the wings and the detail in the wings. Great BG. :toast:

Interesting light on the Spoonbills Murali. Nice that you got the wings of both birds up.

looks nice and sharp, Murali, with good poses and light. I think it needs a little CW rotation.

The white birds and dark bg create a sense of deep richness. Good shot.

Murali,

I like the wing positions you caught the spoonbills in and that even though the birds bodies do interesect that there is just enough light on the front bird's bill to keep them seperate in my mind.

I wonder though if this needs a touch of CW rotation, the water under the birds look good, but the light patch of grass in the background, the water line back there and the structure to the left of the grasses creates the illusion for me that this isn't level?

Thanks friends. Yes, there is possibly a bit of level issue with the Horizon.
