Wet rocks, not much to say about this.
Manual Exposure with tripod, 1sec, f/10, ISO 100, Canon 100mm macro, flash off.
Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.

Hi John:
Lovely mixture of color, shape and texture here. I am a bit surprised that the image is a little soft since u r using tripod on still objects. Did u use a CPL - it may help reduce the reflection a bit.

I like the idea of what you tried to do here - there is a lot of appeal in the colors and textures of the rocks.

I'd probably looked a bit more carefully at the composition. Around the 1/3 mark from the upper left, all of the pebbles are out of focus. The red rock there is grabbing my attention but the softness is bothering me. At f10, you still have a long way to go on stopping down - f16 would have helped a bit. Don't worry about diffraction as out of focus areas tends to trump the slight softness due to diffraction.

The other thing that could have been done if you need to avoid f16 would be to move the larger pebbles so that they are lower into the stones. The idea is to get the DOF to cover at least the bigger pebbles and the tops of the lower smaller pebbles.

Thanks for posting!
