Had a good surprise this morning, as I went to a favorite falls that only runs when the water is high. Someone has eliminated a bunch of brush and debris to allow for a slightly better view from about 2/3 of the way down. The sun was too hot on the water up there, so I'll revisit that spot on the hillside in the next few days.

Just shot this one from front while there is no vegetation on a bright blue morning--can't see the top from here though. Won't catch the entire fall until it's ok to get down into the creek below. I apologize for the size, using a Nikon D60 and the file sizes are much larger, so I'm still working that out. ISO-100, 1/320th and f-5.6 at 55mm, cropped from top & bottom. Larger image posted, C&C welcomed.

Looks like a crisp and clear morning Bill. Hang in there...spring will come  A little softer light or more structured composition might help here.

This looks alot like the area around me this time of year, good job of portraying the spring season. Very nice light and composition.

Thanks Floris, I'm trying to! Well, from the front, there's not much more of a comp w/out trees blocking the falls--plus I wanted to get the gorgeous blue sky in as this is just a first step 'til I get back down in the water below. More intimate, up-close side views to come for now.

And thanks John & Patty, I almost said the same thing about your image looking familiar to the area!
