Golden Sunset

During the golden hour, this sandstone absorbs the light really well. Hopefully when I visit next week, the foot prints will have been washed away.

Thanks for the kind remarks regarding my last post. I went back to reshoot the pebbles yesterday. I tried a slightly wider angle and was sure to use a smaller aperture. Unfortunately, the shoot was cut short by a small rain shower that my dog couldn't sit through. I felt bad, so we hightailed it up north for some fish tacos and a Fat Tire. Mmmm...

If you're interested, here's a link to see Pebbles v.2.

Hey this is pretty sweet Ben. Very appealing light! I like the blue warm color combination, it works very well here. I also like how you have captured the water. The footprints do not matter so much I think.

This is a very beautiful warm beach scene. The water motion is just perfect. l love how the warm golden light contrast the blue sky. The footprints doesn't bother me at all here.

mmm, fish tacos....
you got me all derailed there, Ben!
I like the nice warm light here, a real pretty scene. The surf line fits in real well with the cliffs. And the footprints fit in too, after all theres a fence up on top.

Sweet light, and I like the composition with the footprints continuing the pattern of curves.

Footprints or not, this is lovely. The cliffs seem to glow in the late afternoon sun and the whiteness of the foam complements it well. Very, very nice.

Very nice warm light and a nice image Ben. I like the looks of the water alot. I would prefer it without tracks, but they were there and it looks just fine I think. Checked out the pebbles image and it looked really good. Nice work.

Excellent light!! You're right about that sandstone picking up the warmth really well. I think this is a fine comp too. It kind of reminds me of some shots from way up north, Cape Kuwanda???

Beautiful light Ben. I love how that stone lights up in the right conditions, and you captured it very well.

Pebbles II is even better than Pebbles I. This is nice too, but the saturation seems a bit flat. I'd push it to Pebbles II

Benjamin,

Golden sunset indeed! The light is quite beautiful in this scene and I think your composition is outstanding. I really like how the wave covers much of the beach and how the sandstone cliff leads the eye around the frame. Well done!

I would agree with the footprints on the beach - would be nice to get this in a more pristine condition - but beautiful none the less.
