Water rushes over these rock ledges only during very low tides. Encinitas, CA.

This is very nice Daniel. Beautiful sky color too. Only one little nit - there appears to be some houses or something along the distant shoreline - I might clone those out.

Interesting scene with nice, suble colors. The 5-sec, exosure preserves just enough of the waves to illustrate the motion.

Thanks for the comments. Bill, I know there are some hard to see houses/structures in the background, but if i put this in Man & Nature, I get no feedback, so I cheated a little! In fact this is a pretty heavily populated stretch of coastline. Wayne, I made a mistake, it was 2-sec, not 5 sec exposure. I think 5 may have been too much to capture that wave motion...

Daniel,

Other thank the hint of development along the coastline (hint, hint) this is one beautiful seascape and tital image. I think Jimmy G. likes to hang out here. The rock shelf is wonderful and I like that this mini-bay created occupies much of the frame and makes for a strong composition.

I understand your desire to post in ES&S.... but think of those folks who do.... :-) Personally, I would have cloned out the teenie evidence and not mentioned anything.... And as you've hopefully figured out, we're pretty easy going around here and the "hand of man" is pretty insignificant here. Just keep in mind for next time.

Very nice image.

Lon

The shelf, and bowl are a very interesting, and sort of unique(uncommon at least) type of coastal formation. I think you have used it quite effectively in the comp. The rest of the scene is really good as well.

This is a very enjoyable image. Nice light, great shapes and textures. Can't think of a thing I'd change.
