Preening Pelican

Another pelican from Puerto Penasco. Though the juveniles lack the varied colors of the adults, I still find them to be great subjects. They have wonderful textures and details, and often seem quite graceful, as in this preening pose.

very nice pose, detail and background. Fine composition too
I like this a lot as posted, you have nice light, colors, details, setting and comp. I also like the preening pose very much.
The bird isn't as colorful, but I really like the dark-blue-BG/brown-bird combination and the terrific detail. I take a lot of pelican shots; they are wonderful subjects stationary and in flight.
