A lady Western Bluebird from a few days ago. I spotted a Mountain Bluebird yesterday but it was out of my range. When my new lens arrives I'll go back and try to find him. All C&C welcome and appreciated!

Thanks Rich
I went with the Sigma 150-500 OS. I figure I'll give it a go and if I don't like it I can sell it and get something else.

Very nice detail here, good pose, and interesting perch. The oof white blobs detract a bit, imo - but still a very nice shot!
Have fun with the new lens!

Nice pose and perch. I like the loose feather under his foot. :toast:

Nice shot of the bird, and I really like the BG except the OOF light areas that Sandy mentioned. It would be much better IMO without those as I do find them to be distracting.

Excellent, there are a few back here but I haven't seen them yet. Can't wait. Hopefully I will get something close to as nice as this.

Clayton,

I like the pose of the bluebird and your choice of comp. I think a small amount of selective sharpening on the mid tones & darks of the bird would make this stand out more, but not much or it will look oversharpened.

I especially like the feather stuck under that one foot, that adds a nice touch of whimsy to the image.
