Enchanted Forest

On the "Nature Appreciation Day," Floris and I went to Point Lobos to do some exploring. We stumbled upon this really weird deer who had devil horns and scary black eyebrows. We made some pretty interesting noises to keep his attention, I recall Floris doing an excellent bear impersonation.

Thanks for any comments.

(PS, check out Floris' site to see his awesome shot of this scene and how he interpreted this setting. Interesting to compare how we approached the scene and processed the image)

This is a very interesting photograph Ben! The Deer makes a little story out of this image. I like your processing a lot here too.

Fantastic, nothing I like better than seeing wild life included in a scene like this. Beautiful job on everything Ben.

Excellent image Ben. Love when you can photograph wildlife in the context of their environment. These trees would make a great image themselves but with that buck, well that just makes this simply incredible.

Nice Ben, glad to see you finally processed this! I always thought the deer looked a little posed/pasted in/awkward with this comp... but at least you can see it, as opposed to the one I chose where the deer is like 5 pixles! I wouldn't mind seeing it a little darker/more contrast to further the spooky mood

Neat, Ben. I like this better with the messy canopy cropped out, puts more interest on the critter.
