Christmas Cactus

My Christmas cactus, which I've had for a couple of years is finally blooming. Usually, I manage to somehow kill them off before they get an opportunity to bloom again, so I'm excited to see a couple of flowers on this one. So yesterday was photo shoot day. Forgot to jot down my settings during post processing, but could look them up if anyone is interested.

Wow, my wife and I thought her Christmas cactus was out of sync and more of a Lenten Cactus as opposed to an Advent Cactus. Saw the thumbnail and thought "that looks like a Christmas Cactus!". Nice to see someone else has one that is out of sync.

I tried to photograph hers but have not been happy with the captures. Colors too intense. My wife's cactus is packed with buds in various stages of display. Nice spritz job Kathy. Nice capture. :toast:

Love the sunbursts in this Kathy and the muted bg for the richness of color in the subject. Striking image.

The droplets of water and the sunbursts really make this image, Kathy. I also like the diagonal placement of the bud.

This is one of the few successful Xmas cactus shots I've seen. Well done. :toast:
