Hello everyone I have just recently joined NPN and thought I would post this pic taken this morning. Visited an eagles nest in a woodland I frequent and found a pair of eagles had returned and they were busy fixing the nest up. Last year they had two eaglets.

Welcome Peter, your exposure looks very good to me and the detail is excellent. I'd like to have a little more room at the bottom for the tail, if you don't have it in the original you could clone some canvas in there. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your images. :toast:

Welcome, Peter!
THis is a great first post.
Fine detail in the feathers and good exposure.
sometimes when a bird is in this position, i'm able to get him to turn toward me with a call.
A bit tight at the bottom, but easily cloned in if needed.
Looking forward to more of your work!

Excellent first post. While it's a TOUCH steep, the detail and exposure are really impressive. Welcome to NPN and the best damn Avian Gallery in the galaxy

Thank you all for your comments.

I will add some canvas to the bottom of this pic. It was taken at my closest approach to the bird. I will work on some other pics taken before this when I was further back (less steep angle) and where I have eye contact with the bird and room below the tail feathers.

I am still relatively new to photography and still gravitate to the photo’s with the most bird in the frame.

Welcome to NPN, Peter. A very nice first post. The exposure looks excellent, as does the detail. I like the head turn and the catch light in the eye. It feels a bit tight on the bottom, but that's my only nit. :toast:
