RELATIONSHIP ADVICE

I'M NOT an expert on relationships, but like this Wood Duck pair I know that good communication is important. This hen may not give a hoot about what her spouse is saying, but at least she's pretending to listen!

nice interaction you captured here, Craig. It really does look like she's leaning in. I'd imagine woodies are always a challenging exposure, and more so with the bright water here. I might try to pull some more detail out of the darks.

Real unique pose you captured here and the female "leaning" into the male is really cool as is the eye contact

LOL, his wide eyed expression and the way her head is cocked does fit your anthropomorphism. I suspect he's full of himself and a little daft. The bright water has made for a tough exposure, some loss of detail in the drake's darker parts, but still very good. Might give just a little bit of a ccw spin. (On an unrelated note, may I ask what your avatar is - I'm torn between a snakes rattle and some sort of wood carving? I'll likely be embarrassed when the answer is revealed.)

Craig,
great timing, it seems she is leaning toward him to hear what he says. I really like the detail and the droplet on the beak of the male. Well done! :toast:

Love the interaction that you caught here Craig, especially how the hen appears to be leaning towards the drake.
