Photograph taken on June 25, 2008 at The Celery Farm, Allendale, New Jersey. In my opinion , in some situations (such as this essentially "two-dimensional" view), a telephoto may be useful for Macro shots. What's your view?

Nikon D3, Nikon 200-400mm with 2X teleconverter, f/11.0, 1/160, ISO 1000.

Hey Kumar, very cool comp with the water drop at the end of the extended leaf. Nice details on the tiny critters. :toast:

This is an excellent macro shot. You must be very far away from the subject using such a long lenses. The type of lenses used in unimportant as long as you achieve what u want to do, as you have demonstrated here. :toast:

I love shooting closeups with my 300mm with 1.4 and 2x extenders. It gives me room from my subject and the backgrounds are really good due to the shallow depth of field. This is very nice Kumar, well done.
