Photograph of Mute Swan taken on October 23, 2007 at The Celery Farm, Allendale, New Jersey.

Swans look lovable and "huggable". In flight they look and sound beautiful. However, they do have a mean temper.

Fujifilm S2 Pro, Nikon 70-200 with 2X teleconverter, f/11.0, 1/2000, ISO 800. Contrast reduced.

Looking forward to your comments.

Excellent catch! The water is great, and nice detail on the feathers. .
Sure wish he was more in profile, or even looking at you - but we get what they give us!.

Really nice detail and soft pastel lighting, particularly evident in the larger version.

cheers

Even though the bird is looking away, I like the action and the light in this Kumar.

Kumar,

I like the splashing water and how you handled the white exposure.

For me the comp feel cramped, this is a large bird and this image could probably benefit from more space all around, especially leaving room for the virtual feet under the water. I feel adjusting the comp could make this a stronger image.
