Sun Worship

Photograph taken at a friend's farm on August 15, 2009 in West Milford, New Jersey.
Although there is no sun in the picture, the light and shadows made me think of the life sustaining energy of the sun, which would enable this young flower to bloom. What are your thoughts?

Love the colors and petal detail. for my taste, too tight in the frame.

I agree with Sandy. A little more room needed for such a nice bloom.
Great colors and depth.

Kumar: Beautiful bloom superbly captured. I like the BG. Perhaps a bit tight but not a shot killer. I probably would have presented this as a vertical 4:5 but I think that's because I must see vertical comps easier than horizontals; my ratio of vertical to horizontal comps is about 3:1. Love the colors. >=))>

Simple and nice Kumar. The BG works well with the bloom. I like it a lot.

Great lighting again on your series so far. I also like the subtle colors.

Great lighting and detail. Beautiful BG. A portrait orientation may also work.
