Like the contrast between the light and dark. Think if you cropped out the sky it would strengthen the image.

I'd go even farther than cropping just the sky and look at a square crop from the top. The strength of the image for me is the stream and lower portion of the trees.

A great image Sandy. But I might try a crop of less water and no sky. That, in a larger version might put it into the WOW category. But very nice as is. Thanks for sharing.

This is an easy one--crop the sky and do something to alleviate the compression issues and yourve got a winner!

I don't mind the sky; this is a very natural presentation, almost 'eye-view'. A crop would work too, but I appreciate the lightness of including the sky here. I found that tiny twig sticking into the frame in the upper left corner the only nit.

Nice bw winter image Sandy, I love shots like this. I'm wondering what a slight crop of the sky would do, just a thought. Nice capture.

Love how the trees arc over the creek and how the frosted branches stand out so sharply. I would crop the sky and call this one a winner. Nice work, Sandy.

I'm with Stan, crop the sky, make a more intimate scene.
This is a classic Northern looking Winter stream shot. That deep dark foreboding water makes you wonder what lurks below...
