This is the second -perhaps last - of a series on this Hawk.
Most said that they wished for more of a head turn. I actually got about twenty of this guy from looking right to straight on to looking almost compleatly left and behind. It was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it too!

Rich,
I am doing something wrong - they are not as good as they looked on my screen prior to posting.

Dan.
It looks terrific to me. Great portrait. I have had the same issue with how mine look. I posted some of them on another forum and I thought they looked better.

beautiful shot, Dan--a very close portrait with nice light and details. I like this one a lot better than the first--better head turn and more importantly, much better light on the head. If this was mine I might try just a bit more sharpening on the face and I might drop the brightness down just a hair, but I would have to see what it looked like. This is really nice! :toast: :toast:

Dan,

I like this pose/head turn much better than your previous post.
I am doing something wrong - they are not as good as they looked on my screen prior to posting.

Regarding this looking different on your screen versus the uploaded version, the smaller version is only 82.1 kb, the larger is only 184 kb, compressing images the much does affect the IQ and can cause loss of detail. I am not sure how to save in PaintShopPro because I have not used that in years but there must be a way to adjust the image compression when you go to save the files. Try to get them as close to the 200/500 kb limit as possible.

I must have missed the earlier post; this is a fine portrait, Dan. There are some minor JPEG compression artifacts in the background, which I think resulted from your high JPEG compression rate. I don't use Paint Shop, so I don't know how to adjust the compression level, but I'm sure it can.

All of that is a minor nit on a fine shot. :toast:

Great portrait! Love the detail and the look of that gorgeous eye. If you got any with some of the vehicle in it, you may want to forward it to GMC...would make a great ad for an SUV! Sharon
