Added Flaming Pear Boss Emboss filter and blended with background. Then used P'shop smudge tool… Just experimenting with seldom used tools and filters…
I dunno, what'd'ya think?

Not my cup of tea usually, but this one did grab my eye, so I would have to say I do like it.

Wonderful oil painting look. I like both the grass ptn and the blossoms. Well balanced.

An outstanding image for my tastes Catherine. A fine image to start with but the treatment is exceptionally expressive.

I don't know how many years you've been posting Spring crocus photographs, but I've enjoyed them for at least the past three to four years. They've always been so creative, as well as beautiful, and this year is no exception. I hope you'll continue your "Spring crocus series."

Very artistic. The pastel colors and artful blur definitely makes it a "painting"

Catherine,
Smooth, flowing, and lovely. The thumbnail announced your name even before I looked at the larger image. Just beautiful, Catherine...

Don't know how I missed this - a very pleasing image especially for such a common plant. The PS treatment is techincally perfect and this looks like a fine painting you would find in a musuem. Congrats on the EP

Catherine,
Congrats on both your picks this week. They're both beautiful but I think I prefer this one. Love the softness and the mood of the image.

You definitely have developed a skill for seeing and then further enhancing the crocus. Can immediately tell that it is your image. Very beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Love it!

Looks like a successful experiment to me! Couldn't have created a more pleasing light show if you had started with a blank canvas. Another WP - congrats again!
