Real nice bird - the side lighting was handled well and I like all of the negative space. There does appear to be a halo around the bird though.

There is a serenity to the pose and the setting that I like a lot. The spot on the breast might be just a little hot. Maybe a bit more room at the bottom? Good work getting the entire bird in focus. A super Yellow-rumped image to be proud of.

A very nice warbler photo, great pose and perch. I can see a bit of a halo too.

Very pretty and proud looking little bird, Sharon. I really like the detail and colors here. I looked hard for the halo mentioned in Luke and Doug's comments. In the small version I can identify a trace of one but not in the large version. This has got me magnifying images and tilting my monitor! The only nit I have with this image is the branch running perpendicular to the perch. I wish it wasn't there. However, that really is only a nit. Fine image.

Sharon, overall I really like the warm light and it's great to capture this species. Close up it appears to my eye that the sharpest focus in on the tail area, not sure why, could be my eyes. I agree with Gary that the light spot on the chest looks a bit hot. Nice one overall!

Sharon,
I do not see the halo in the larger image, do see the litle hot spot and do not mind the little twig. Well done and very pleasant to view!

Looks a contented little bird. Fine detail throughout and that hint of sunlight really brings the image to life. Graham

Cant see the halo on my monitor and now my eyes have gone funny for looking.Nice angle and pose might give just a little more room under the feet if you have it.

Very nice Yellow-rumped Warbler, Sharon. Great job on the composition. I like that puffed up look.

I like the resting pose you caught this yellow-rumped in, the soft background, your comp and the setting.
That one highlight on the breast does look a touch hot, but you should be easily able to remedy that. The larger version seems a bit soft, that might have been caused by even a slight breeze at 1/160. I probably would have bumped up my ISO to get more shutter speed.
Still, a very pleasing and appealing image

Sharon:
Good job getting the warbler to pose for you in the open. Nice work handling the side lighting. The noted hot-spot on the breast can be easily handled. I'm seeing a lot of yellow-rumped warblers now, but not in the open.
