Nice detail on this flycatcher Jim, I like the branches top right and the twigs at the bottom to balance the comp. I'm wishing for a bit more of a headturn but they don't always cooperate. :toast:

Love the very lush greens. I also like the rusty link on the fence. Nice hairdo.

You must be the most travelled photographer in the NPN Avian Club.

Nice shot Jim, like the raised crest, a head turn would be nice, but this works well.

Sweet Jim. I really like the comp and the feathers standing up on the top of the head. The larger image shows good detail and sharpness on the bird. Nice DOF.

Very nice Jim, I have never even heard of this bird before. The detail on the bird in the larger image is great and I like the A frame branches in the background, well done.

The framing with the fence and A frame in the BG do it for me too. Very pleasing.

Jim

I like the subtle pryamid formed by the branches in the background, they frame the bird especially well and draw my eyes right towards the bird. While a headturn more towards the viewer would be nice I like the feeling that this head turn gives me and how it makes me wonder what the Elaenia might have been looking at. I like the raised feathers on the head and how nicely the tail is shown.
