This image was taken on a very cold December morning. I took this at a 90 degree angle from the rising sun, catching all of the pastel colors. Aside from using Darwin Wiggett's image prep, this has been unalter.

Beautiful sky and reflection. There's actually a little bit of shadow detail -- the other side of the shore I guess -- that I find a little distracting. I think I would just increase the blacks so that it goes completely black.

I'm glad you indicated it was unaltered. The yellow-red colors in the sky look too good to be true on my monitor. Great image.

That is one fine capture, Ross. The deep blues/purples at the bottom really set it off.

Really intense light show, Ross. The rippled reflection is really fun to look at. Overall, the amount of black silhouetted trees seems to be a bit heavy here. Looks like there might be some detail in them that could be teased out to avoid the sense of black.

Outstanding color, but then I tend to like it vibrant. And I am still a fan of Velvia, even if it is a result of processing. The comp works well, and the lines in the water and clouds give it a nice movement.

Mat, I played with making the shoreline all black but I thought it might compromise the other colors, but I know what you mean. Thanks Buddy.
