Upside Down & Backward

Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1.6 secs @ f16

In ophthalmology some of our examinations utilize lens systems that render the image we see upside down and backward. After practicing almost 40 years I see that way naturally. Probably would have done great with a large format rig. Of course my wife and some of my friends accuse me of thinking that way too. Anyway, besides flipping this around and over I also inverted the colors. All comments welcome.>=))>

This is very neat Bill. It has an other worldly feel to it, mostly from the light and the color I think. I like the mood of it very much.

I especially like the composition here. The shapes flow smoothly together and my eye moves comfortable around within the frame. It reminds me of a floral print pattern for, well, any number of things. A textile or a ceramic perhaps. The leaves are the subject only secondarily as it were. Being a screen or curtain for some bright reality beyond.

I like the muted colors and glowing effect around the leaves.

Hi Bill :wavey: I find it very creative and artistic. The soft lines and pastel tones are very pleasing. The composition is superb. How about that loose stem on the UL corner, It dosent bother me. though.

Don't fully understand all you've done here, Bill, but there's no doubt about the result. An image of rare charm, which reminds me of some of the wonderful book illustrations of the 1930s with their delicate colouring and superb graphic qualities.

Very unconventional Bill, and very interesting. If my wife only accused me of upside down and backward then I would be pleased with that assessment!
