Spider and The Bee

I watched and photographed this Crab Spider off and on for a day and a half on a patch of blooming chive plants. On the second day I finally found out what he was waiting so patiently for. His patients and mine finally payed off.
Taken with a Canon D60 with a Sigma 90mm 2.8 macro lens.

Whoa! Bad news for the bee!
Great documentary shot. Glad you waited and worked the subject. Excellent details and colors. Did you use flash? :wavey:

Good shot, I like this very tight close up. I understand what you mean about patient and reward.
I have an image of a similar spider and I'll post it next time.Mauro.

Cool find and capture Clayton, being able to find subjects like this is why I enjoy Macro so much. Nice sharp detail in the insects with good DOF choice. I find it's tough to get all the subject in good focus as you did here. What F setting did you use? Again, well done.

Thanks John. I had to go back and look at my exif on this one before I posted it to remind me. It had been a while since I shot it. It was shot at F22 and the Tv was 200 as I recall. I shot it in Av mode.
