A nice capture with the heart formation here. I'm seeing kind of a blue tint on my laptop monitor; maybe just a bit warmer? I like how they stand out so well from that bg. Sharon

Sharon:
Thanks for the comment. I posted this from my laptop, which isn't color calibrated. I will check it out when I get back to Pensacola in a few days.

A wonderful 'theme' shot for Valentine's David. I'm seeing a touch of blue in the whites, but it can be easily fixed. :toast:

Very appropriate for "that" Day coming! I like the composition you've chosen - I also see some blue.

I see blue in the shadows, but no caste overall. Looks okay on my screen.

Such a tough capture getting both profiles and nicely-lit eyes showing. I'm not sure if all the extra space at the top works for me, but it's a very cool shot regardless of what I think.

Good job having both birds in focus and separated from the background at the same time. Very appropriate for the upcoming Feb 14th. When you say you cropped to form the heart, do you mean that you cropped from the centre and brought the birds together to create the shape of a heart?

I modified the color balance and may have reduced some of the blue, but I will work on it more when I have a larger, calibrated monitor.

Dave,

I like the abstract heart shape formed by the birds heads. The repost looks better as far as the blues in the shadows.

Love seeing those green lores too.

Gary asked:
When you say you cropped to form the heart, do you mean that you cropped from the centre and brought the birds together to create the shape of a heart?
No, but I can see that my statement does not rule that out. I cropped to remove the parts of the body that do not contribute to the formation of the heart. I did not change the relative spacing of the birds.
