Beautiful Bird (Unconven

I'm so glad to have the opportunity to post this photo art image of a bird of paradise I took in 1978 (yikes) on Kodachrome 64 slide film when I was fortunate enough to live on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. I don't have an expensive scanner, so my scanned slides don't come out looking all that great. I played with this one a bit in Photoshop, however, and like how it turned out.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Very pretty. I especially like the way the orange petals look and the bg is very nice. I was using Kodachrome in 1978 too. It's nice to see what you can do with those slides in photoshop.

Carol: This is another shot that the thumbnail disguised. This is a beautiful rendition of a subject that can be tough to compose and shoot. Really well done.>=))>

I really like your filter's effect on this one. Printed on canvas paper, it would look like a painting. Very artistic.

Excellent application of filters for a watercolor effect. That's what it looks and feels like to me. Beautifully done.

Very fine image Carol. The bg treatment is perfect with your comp and subject. I like it a lot,
