Welcome Swallow

Welcome Swallow photographed on a old weathered fence post at Chiltern, north-eastern Victoria. These birds are the common swallow across Australia - occuring wherever there is a lick of water.

Canon 7D, EF500 f/4 + 1.4 tc, tipod, kwik-camo, ISO 400, Av, f/10, 1/800, cropped for composition, mainly from the right.

The square crop works well here Simon, showing off that weathered post ( if that was the intention? )
A real nice look from the Swallow with great eye contact :toast:

Love the BG and pose particularly! The Kwik Camo is great, isn't it?

I love the birds pose, the old weathered fence post, and the light. I also like the hint of iridescence and the graded background.

I like the way this pretty little bird seems to be looking at us, Simon. The way it's grasping that relatively sharp perch is attractive too. :toast:

Gotta love that curious look from the bird. The techs are wonderful, and also the comp, but that background perfectly suits the subject.

Interesting variation in the background colors that for me really add to this image, good detail and catch light, well done.
