This photo was taken late in the afternoon at Portland's Washington Park Rose Garden. It was taken at ISO 100, f/9 @ 1/25 of a second with a Nikkor 105mm Micro f/2.8 lens on a tripod.

I like the way the flowers sort of grow out of the darkness and form a horizontal 'stripe' in the middle of the frame. I also like the colours. Very nice!
