And a tribute is all it really is when compared to the works of the Hudson River School of Painters. Their use of light is something I will try to emulate till I kick off or when I can't fire the shutter off on the camera anymore. I am sure they are an inspiration to many on this forum.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

That really is nice light, Morris and your handling is in line with HRSP. I really like the comp here. Very engaging. The shapes and framing keep me very interested.

The idea to create a painterly look really came to life here. Well done, Morris.

Really does feel as though I'm looking at a painting with the softness of the light and textures. Nicely done all around.

What superb light - certainly a good tribute to the HRS. I like a 4x5 vert crop of the top too - cutting out the outline of the tree in the reflection it seems to focus me more on the light and the experience, rather than the form of the reflection. But either works.
