Narrow-leaved Cattail
by Wayne Jones
After failing to find the comp and light I was looking for in my usual haunts full of the larger Common Cattail, Typha latifolia I walked a while and noticed the graceful leaves of these more slender plants (T. angustifolia). By then, the Sun had set, so the snowflakes I wanted to capture in the air had become long-exposure streaks. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I am posting it anyway, partly because this shot cost me a boot full of ice water (Fortunately, I was close to home).
