I shot this image on a recent trip to the Braulio Carrillo rain forest in Costa Rica. I'm certain the name of the plant was mentioned on the tour, but I'm equally certain I forgot it. I shot without a polarizer because the light was very low, and with the drenching rain I elected not to change the lens configuration once I placed my 70-200 on the camera. I was looking down at the plant from a suspension bridge at Selva Verde Eco Park just outside the forest.

Without the polarizer, the resulting glare is a little distracting to me. Have you considered cloning out the holes and the brown spot?

Neat! Some nice textures here as well as the pattern.

I really like the deep green colour and the vein pattern. The small imperfections (brown spot and holes) don't bother me, because they sort of make the whole thing more natural. Excellent!

The highlights are a bit overpowering and yes the spots could go as well... Nice pattern.
