Last light and motion

There was a storm moving into sedona, so decided to go check it out for sunset. The clouds were spectacular, and the light was even better! Taken at red rock crossing. Taken in November 2009.

Canon 5D w/ 17-40mm f/4L
f/20 at 2sec, and 1/4 sec for sky.

I like this composition a lot, I do wish there was more detail in the ULC trees; my eyes seem to wander directly back to them. If you have a brighter exposure I'd try to blend some detail back into those trees. Also, you could crop in from the LH side so that left edge of the frame is where the water and rock meet in the lower LC, I think the image becomes more balanced cropping the left side. Nonetheless, great shot!

Nice one Chikku, I agree with the crop and maybe a tad on the right side too, to make the cathedral more dominant in the compostion.

Very unique composition, in fact one of the best I saw recently.

Interesting shot, Chikku. Almost shocking to see the normal levels of saturation here, but personally i think it's great--alows the light to be the focus and not hypersaturated colors. A little bit more detail in the shadows would be nice, otherwise a great effort!

Fantastic scene Chikku. For a guy like me living in Sweden, this is true Mohican country. The foreground drags me into the scene and the sunlit rocks in the background is fantastic. The right side is a little tricky. The pic might benefit from a crop from the right, not really sure.
Great shot anyway.

great concept and the water movement and the light on the red rocks is great. The ul corner is a bit dark and overdominates the image for me...not sure what could have been done except change your position towards the left a bit...or maybe just some sleective dodging in the trees to lighten them up a bit

Very nice and effective.

I wish the branch was not intruding on the background rocks though.
