Ice Zigzag

This is the 2nd in a series of ice shots I took on Tuesday in Moraine Park in RMNP. This time I didn't do the blue WB adjust, which do you prefer? I really liked the strong z shape and combination with the other textures in the ice.

Note: The image is darker here than I would prefer, next time I will lighten the images a bit before posting. I'm experimenting with posting straight from LR2 instead of CS3 and it doesn't give me the results I would expect all the time. Learning is half the battle.

D300, Sigma 1500mm f2.8 @ f/16, 1/40th, ISO 200, Tripod, overcast, contrast slider and curves adjustment in LR2

Jared: I prefer the blue better than the b&W. However, I think the comp in this image is stronger and more interesting. The lighting is fine. :toast:

This is great. I think I prefer your earlier post both in terms of colour and comp, but the difference is minimal; I really like this too. I also see no problem with the lighting.

I post directly from LR, and I've noticed the darkness problem. However, it doesn't seem to affect all images; I only had a problem with a clear blue sky.
