Another shot from Chicago during my week long stay for a work seminar. I really would love to get back there.

I like the white, red and black color combo. Nice dof, too along with the areas of luminosity. It's just me, now, but I hope that white petal fell off on it's own... And I think I'd clone out the spots on the petals. Nice shot overall.

I think you've caught the style and stamens beautifully, Michele - at just the right moment and so sharply. I also like the overall composition ( though perhaps the really out of focus flower at the top is a touch distracting ). Whatever, this is a lovely image.

Thanks all. Catherine, no flowers were harmed in the making of this shot. All petals fell off on their own.

A wonderful comp and mixture of colors here Michele, and I love how the front petals are open too.

Michele,
I like this image. Perfect dof for my tastes and I like the detail on the anthers and stigma. I love the dark tulip in the back. For my tastes it makes the image. My only hesitation is the composition. The white horizontal petal disrupts the verticals in my orthodox structured mind. I think some folks like that tension though and I'm not sure that I don't. I'm just imagining it as a vertical. It's a beautiful image, regardless.

Michele: Got a nice little -meter spike from this one. Clone some of the blemishes and print it large. >=))>
