Pinwheels in the Clouds

OK, I was just going thru some stuff from a couple of years ago... shot this series one morning from about 10 miles away from the mountain the windmills sit upon at sunrise. Most are fairly soft, but I still like the frosted trees, the clouds and mist lit up by the climbing sun, etc. Cropped to a pano, tried to sharpen and help the contrast a bit. Any C&C welcome if I don't delete it before!! (larger posted too) OK, wouldn't even bother w/ the larger version--thought I could delete it but can't.

Bill, the softness doesn't bother me at all. If not for the out of focus branches in the foreground, this image would be great.

Thanks Joel!! Yeah I would hope I wouldn't make that same mistake today... anyway, the larger version especially looks lousy on the web so i'm taking it off. Here is a further-cropped version, see if it helps.

I like the light here, to bad it is a little soft. Where are these wind turbines located, Bill? If you could reshoot this my only suggestion would be to move your comp forward and to the left just a bit. This would crop the FG bushes out of the frame along with the turbines on the right and left that intersect with the rolling hills. This would also move one tree that intersects with the one turbine. These are just suggestions of course. I hope that helps.
