Ian,

A very pleasing image - love the windswept ear tufts and the closed eyes.

The poor little guy. I'm not sure who to feel more sorry for - the animal or you! Great expression (frozen no doubt) that you caught on his face.

Too cold, Ian! What are you both doing out in that wind?! Thanks for posting.

Brilliant Ian,

the picture portrays the environment. My eyes are watering for the poor creature and I am sure I can hear your fingers dropping to the ground, one by one

Well done

Hi Ian,

Love it - looks like the squirrel is enduring hurricane force winds! And, this is one definitely looks like a "signature" Ian Mason shot - very recognizable as one of your's at a glance (and take this as a compliment as I very much like your style of shooting).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad

This image does a great job of conveying cold. Love the closed eyes and the swirl of snow. Nice details as always.

Brrr, yeah that looks dangerously cold Ian. I like the squeezed eyes and the snowflakes:smile: . I do wish a bit more of the squirrel were visible. Shooting from a bit higher POV would maybe have achieved that (with the risk of disturbing the squirrel maybe).

Everything in this shot -- even the squirrel's expression -- perfectly illustrates the windy and snowy environment. The blowing snowflakes make a subtle addition to complete the effect.

Looks too cold for me Ian to be out shooting but it looks as though you've got a nice series of shots with these squirrels. I really like his expression on his face and the image gives a sense of the depth of snow you've had this year, Graham

Ian, I really ike the look on his face in this shot...to me it says, "I am freakin freezing out here!". Your images of these squirrels made me go out to find our species which is black. I unfortunately didn't have any luck this weekend...well maybe next time I will see them. Great work!
