Properly known as Arroyo Burro Beach, in Santa Barbara, CA, it is still referred to by the name of a prominent family that started with a blacksmith shop in town probably a hundred years ago.

BW conversion from my 1DsIII and Zeiss 35ZE.

Nice sky and scene from a local spot. The conversion is a great call with that sky.

Nice tonalities Jeffrey, the sky is good too. So many little pocket beaches in SB, you have probably been to them all. I hear there is nice tide pooling at Henry's beach but don't know where it is.

The conversion here is really nice, Jeffrey and I like the motion in the fg water. Are those inlands on the horizon? I spent New Years day (afternoon) at Gaviota Beach for the first time and really need to check out some of the other beaches in that area.

Jeffrey,

I like the lines and motion in front of the rocks and what I find most intriguing is the absence of a horizon. what I mean is that it's tough to figure out where the horizon is once you pass the wave line out in the ocean. Can't tell where the ocean stops and the sky/clouds begin. And for me, that makes this image interesting and engaging. I would almost like to see a minimalistic capture of this - without the rocks! No real nits, just would suggest increasing the contrast a very slight amount in the main rock.
