White Tail Fawn

White Tail Fawn hanging around the field near my home. All total I had about 6 young ones running around this past spring and summer. Thank goodness it held still enough for me to get this shot, given my shutter speed. It's difficult to get a noise free shot out of an Olympus camera once you start pushing your ISO up past 200/250.

All comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Hi Michelle, how cool to have six of these cute youngsters running around your backyard! What really helps this image a lot is the low shooting angle. Also the pose is interesting and the composition well balanced. Even though the straight FG line made by the grasses does look a bit like a man made lawn I quite like the straight line for aesthetic reasons as it creates a nice bottom edge border. The lighting was not in your favor here and ideally it would have been reversed (i.e. the buck in the light and the BG shaded.

Nice low angle. I agree with Vincents observations. Perhaps you could selectively tone down the bright foliage just behind the fawn (at nose level) and conversely brighten the shadow side of the face just a little.
