Ice Water (+crop)

Well my new favorite place is feeling the effects of the bitter cold and bringing some beautiful scenery along with it. This is an isolated section of basically a 4-5 tiered stream that I discovered a few weeks ago in NE PA. Stopped there this time before sunrise and with tripod in hand, firmly planted in the snow. Shot at 1/8th second, ISO 80 at f-8.0... Any C&C welcomed. Some minor cropping, contrast/sharpening work. Sun was just peeking over the horizon at this point, hope the whites held up. More to come from this shoot here and close ups in ES&S. Thanks for looking!

Hi Bill. I think I would do the same here as I mentioned with your other fall photo. Slightly crop the top of the picture just below the bridge. This gets rid of the bridge and most of the tree on the left side. In my opinion it brings more power to the upper falls. Again great job with the shutter speed captureing the water movement and still showing detail. I think your whites look great. :toast:

I agree with cropping to get rid of the bridge. Otherwise I think it is a great shot.
