I will preface my info with this: I don't own P/S and I am awed by the remarkable, beautiful shots everyone is posting. I feel like a garage band following Led Zeppelin on stage, but this is it.
If memory serves me correctly, this meadow is thistles and coneflowers when warm. Taken last week during a 'warm' spell of about 32 degrees and raining. Ice, water, and snow didn't hold any familiar textures. Went out looking for wildlife, glad I brought my macro.
D200, iso 400, f2.8, 105mm macro.

All c/c welcome and expected
(Probably more critique as I am a finger-painter following Monet)

Interesting image, I am not sure about the softness if it lends to the image or not. I like the BG alot in this image.

Bruce, You've made my day. I thought I was the only person on this site that didn't own P/S software. All I have is a simple software that came with my camera when I purchased it. Like you and like you've done here I enjoy going out in nature, looking for a subject and using my camera for all it's worth to capture my image. :toast:

Thank you for comments. I was going for a softer feel on this by focusing on the ice honey combs. Had to turn off A/F, it was driving my lens nuts!
Cindy, I use Nikon Capture NX2. Some curve adjustments and a crop. I am unaware of any plug-ins.
